Dains has a dedicated Charities Team which includes people covering all disciplines including audit, accounting, tax, VAT, governance and risk management. All members of this team have many years of experience working in the sector.

Relevant members of the team have gained the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting which demonstrates both their experience, expertise and enthusiasm for working in the charity sector. All staff working in the Dains Charity Team receive specialist training and regular sector updates to ensure their skill and knowledge are relevant and appropriate for working with not for profit organisations

Charity audit is the assurance that appropriate accounting policies and processes are being applied and irregularities in financial reporting are identified. It is also an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of financial controls and management systems, to assist in identifying risks and how to minimise them. As regulation continues to increase, The Charities Act legislation and the Charity Commissioners guidance have to be followed. Audit needs can vary with the size and type of charity. Dains provide a complete and efficient service in a highly complex and regulated field.
